| Metroland competition winners |

I'm delighted to announce that both competition winners have had their prizes sent, and should be with them soon (depending on Royal Mail strike action, of course!). The winners were S. Young and A. Bates, both from Newcastle. To mark the launch of Live Newcastle, Metroland had kindly offered two Family Passes, for use within the attraction.
Unfortunately, it's also been confirmed that Metroland will be closing within a few months, due to the redevelopment of the MetroCentre's Yellow Quadrant. Metroland is the UK's eighth top attraction, and Europe's largest indoor theme park, playing host to twelve major rides, including a rollercoaster. |
