36 Lime Street is a co-operative, housing the workshops and studios of a number of artists. The 36 Lime Street building is run democratically on a not-for-profit basis. The aim and guiding principle of the co-op is to provide secure, affordable studio spaces for rent for creative artists, and in doing so to contribute towards the regeneration of the building and the area. The co-op aims to offer its members democratic control over their enterprises and to foster the principles of co-operation in members involvement with industry and commerce, training and education, and leisure and recreational activities.
