The Red Box Gallery is located in the Red Box Design Group building, which is part of the Old Post Office, opposite the west door to St Nicholas Cathedral in the centre of Newcastle.

Established in 2003, the Red Box Gallery is committed to the continued growth of the cultural life of Newcastle upon Tyne and the North East region.

The gallery, which is one of the most architecturally stunning in the area, offers spaces that can accommodate artists working in a diverse range of styles and media.
 
Red Box hosts a series of five shows each year through which it seeks to showcase the work of North East artists.
 
Featuring the most exciting, innovative and significant contemporary art that this region has to offer, the gallery prides itself on presenting exhibitions of regional and national importance, of interest to both local people and visitors to the area.
 
Throughout the year the work in the gallery varies widely, exploring diverse themes and mediums.  Each visit to the gallery will provide a completely different viewing experience.
